Lesson Program
We are now teaching lessons at our new facility. Background and qualifications of our instructors can be found on the Our History page. We currently have 2 horses & 1 pony available for students. We will also travel to your barn and we are available for clinics and pony club preps & ratings. Coaching at both the local shows & Culpeper, Ocala, Atlanta etc. is available.
Lessons fee: $35/ 1/2 hour, $50/ hour.
Clinic fee: $150/ ½ day (3 hours), $250/ full day (6 hours). Riders should be grouped according to ability.
We teach balanced seat riding for all disciplines. Classical equitation starts with a good seat and from this balanced postion, the rider learns correct use of the aids. Not all riders will be equitation riders, but everyone can benefit from a good position. Lessons are positive, upbeat, informative and fun! Years of experience allow us to quickly see underlying issues (of horse & rider) and address them with exercises that you will use for the rest of your riding career. From level one to Grand Prix, Tadpole to Training, Walk- Trot to Medal/ Maclay we can help you balance yourself, balance your horse & become a successful team.
Beginner riders will start in the roundpen.Experienced riders should be comfortable in the open for flat work & jumping. We have several riding areas with level to slightly rolling terrain. Schooling fences include both natural, cross country type fences & jumper fences ie: flowers, barrels & a liverpool. We are constantly improving the facility & will be adding more jumps & a dressage arena in the near future.
